In May 2008 Fairbridge Capital entered into a strategic partnership with Vantage Risk Capital, the largest independent provider of risk capital to medium-sized businesses in South Africa, in order to bolster their mid-market funding capabilities.

Vantage Risk Capital’s first fund of R1 billion is fully invested and they are currently in the process of raising their second fund with a target value of R2 billion to R3 billion. Vantage Risk Capital’s second fund has achieved a first closing of R800 million.

Our role is to provide debt advice on an ad-hoc basis as well as originating mid-market transactions where mezzanine risk capital can be deployed.
